Z model or 'diplomat' table lamps designed by Louis Kalff for Philips.
This model is one of Louis Kalff's best designs.
It features a brass Z shaped base with a single light point.
The ufo styled shade is made of enamelled aluminum.
Manufactured by the Dutch company Philips labeled on the lamp shade.
Good overall condition, one has a small paint loss on the shade.
The lamps are nearly identical, one being an first edition with a full black metal base and no philips label on the shade.
The Netherlands, 1950's.
