A Chinese altar table.
The oblong plank top above two massive end supports with a shaped apron and brackets elaborately carved with flowering lotus, a Kylin and Ho-Ho Bird.
The timber is difficult to discern, but likely to be a stained softwood with its pronounced open grain. This is loosely based on 17th century classic Chinese designs.
