Stately carved and gilt wooden swan sculptures. 
 
The swans have been crafted with eye for detail and are inlaid with colourful stones.
 
Although they can  be reffered to as pedestals, they purpose is more decorative. There are holes at the back that used to hold peacock feathers. A mid century trend to be set in your hallway. 
 
It is unclear whether these where used outside or inside, but they look amazing.  
 
The large size, the beautiful craftsmanship, the slightly faded colours and the fissured wood gives these pieces a great decorative value and charm.
 
These empire style/hollywood regency  swans simply are great decorative items.
