Antique 16th century blanket chest with gothic carvings made from elm wood.
The hinged lid above a front panel with wrought-iron hasp and three ogee lancet panels carved with tracery, on sledge feet.
The chest is made from various components, but the biggest part consists of 16th century panels. The newest parts will be no jonger then 19th century.
The floor of the chest has a hole but can be fixed by putting a wooden panel underneath it. We left it as it is.
