Brass table lamp designed by Marcel Breuer for the 1925 international exhibition of modern decorative and industrial arts, Paris which was particularly important as it signalled the beginning of the art deco period.
Beautiful bauhaus design.
The lamp is in a original condition, with patina.
Stamped on the base and inscripted 'exposition Paris 1925' underneath the base.
With only very limited production numbers, this lamp is a real collectors item that was designed at the very beginning of the art deco era.
Tested and ready for use with a regular E27/E26 light bulb holder.
1920s design - 1980s production - FranceThis example is a more recent example (1980s), which was very limited. A lot of these lamps are wrongly advertised as being 1920s examples which in a lot of cases isn't.
